About the job

ODK is looking for a Business Development Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate is passionate about customer success. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Understanding and responding to the needs of customers
  • Growing recurring revenue while reducing churn
  • Increasing our visibility in new markets and channels

Some of the activities you'll lead include:

  • Building and executing plans to reach our ideal customer
  • Conducting demos to show leads how ODK can help solve their problems
  • Regularly engaging with customers to ensure they are receiving maximum value
  • Helping our community better communicate ODK's value to their networks
  • Identifying new markets and channels that align with our mission and values

Minimum qualifications

  • Has 5+ years of software sales, marketing, or growth experience
  • Has experience with non-profits, research organizations, and governments
  • Can listen carefully, write clearly, and think methodically
  • Can provide friendly, thoughtful, and constructive advice
  • Is curious, persistent, and collaborative

Preferred qualifications

  • Experience with data collection, analysis, or visualization systems
  • Experience selling, marketing, or growing software-as-a-service
  • Experience with customer success
  • Experience with open-source software
  • Fluency in Spanish, Arabic, or Hindi
